Hallo,

Something broke vgetty in the new mgetty release so that it doesn't
recognise my modem any more.
See the following logs.
Help, please.

Groeten,

Hans.

Hi,
Post by Johannes Beekhuizen
Something broke vgetty in the new mgetty release so that it doesn't
recognise my modem any more.
See the following logs.
Strange, this. Could you re-run with more voice debug level?

I did some changes in the voice area, but those have been related to
64 bit integer mixups, but to voice modem recognition... and browsing
through the 1.1.35 -> 1.1.36 diff file, I can't see any change that
could affect *this* part.

Johannes: is it possible that you used a patched/fixed 1.1.35?

(Besides this: you might want to try "forceV253 true" in voice.conf - thus
overriding modem detection)

No need any more :)

GD> Johannes: is it possible that you used a patched/fixed
GD> 1.1.35?

Yes, I'm sorry, I forgot all about that. Around line 100 in
voice/libvoice/detect.c I added
{ati, "LT V.92 1.0 MT5634ZPX-PCI-U Internal Data/Fax/Voice Modem
Version 1.32k",
NULL, &V253modem},
That patch was necessary because *my* [then] new modem did not want
to work with vgetty.
I made a note of it now...

Thank you very much for your help.

Groeten,

Hans.
